This Privacy Policy describes how Maps Business Finder (“we”, “our”, or “the Extension”) handles information when you use our Chrome extension and the related website at https://www.12306xj.com (the “Service”).
We design the product around a single purpose: helping users discover publicly available business information from Google Maps search results, organize it locally, and export it for their own legitimate use.
1. Who we are
Product: Maps Business Finder (Chrome extension, Manifest V3)
Website / account API: https://www.12306xj.com
Privacy contact:

2. Information we process
2.1 Business / lead data you choose to collect
When you run collection on Google Maps, the Extension may read publicly displayed business information from the page you are viewing, such as:
- Business name, category, rating, review count, and status
- Address, phone number, website URL, and maps place identifiers
- Other publicly visible fields shown on Google Maps listings
If you enable website contact enrichment (VIP features), the Extension may request the business’s public website and extract publicly posted contact details (for example email addresses, phone numbers, and public social profile links) that appear on those pages.
This lead data is stored locally in your browser (for example using Chrome storage / IndexedDB on your device) so you can filter, review, and export it. We do not upload your collected Google Maps lead datasets to our servers by default.
2.2 Account information (optional, required for login-gated features)
If you create an account on our website, we process:
- Email address
- Display name (optional)
- Password (stored only as a secure one-way hash; we cannot read your plaintext password)
- Account plan / VIP entitlement and expiry date
- Session tokens needed to keep you signed in and detect remote sign-in
The Extension may store authentication tokens and basic account status locally so you can stay signed in and use VIP / export features.
2.3 Payment information
Paid VIP upgrades are processed by our payment provider Creem (creem.io). We do not receive or store full payment card numbers on our servers. We may store payment confirmation records needed for fulfillment (such as your account email, amount, currency, provider order identifiers, and paid time) after a successful checkout webhook.
2.4 Support messages
If you contact us through the website Contact form, we receive the information you submit (name, email, subject, message category, and message body) so we can respond.
2.5 Technical / operational data
Our website and API may process standard technical data necessary to operate the Service securely, such as request timestamps, basic server logs, captcha challenge identifiers, and security-related events. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.
3. How we use information
- Provide the Extension’s collection, filtering, and export features
- Authenticate accounts and enforce Free / VIP entitlements
- Process VIP payments and keep payment records for support and accounting
- Respond to support requests
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug operational issues
- Comply with applicable law
We do not use collected Maps lead data to advertise to those businesses on your behalf unless you independently choose to do so outside our Service.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information only with:
- Payment processor (Creem) — to complete checkout and confirm payment status
- Infrastructure providers — hosting for the website / API (e.g. cloud servers) under contractual/security controls
- Legal obligations — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
Your exported files (JSON / Excel) are downloaded to your device. You control any further sharing of those files.
5. Permissions used by the Chrome extension
The Extension requests permissions solely to accomplish its stated purpose:
- storage — save settings, auth session, and collected leads locally
- activeTab / scripting — run collection UI and scripts on Google Maps pages you use
- downloads — export results as files you request
- Host access to Google Maps — read publicly visible listing data while you collect
- Host access to websites (http/https) — optionally fetch public business websites for contact enrichment and communicate with our account / payment status API at https://www.12306xj.com
We do not use these permissions to read unrelated browsing history for advertising, to inject unrelated affiliate offers, or to transfer your lead database to third parties without your action.
6. Data retention
- Local lead data — remains on your device until you clear Extension data, uninstall the Extension, or delete items in the product UI/export workflow
- Account data — retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for security, disputes, or legal compliance
- Payment records — retained as needed for subscription fulfillment, refunds, chargebacks, and accounting
- Support messages — retained as needed to provide support
7. Your choices and rights
- You may use basic features after sign-in according to plan limits, or upgrade/cancel VIP as offered
- You may export or delete local data by clearing site/extension storage or uninstalling
- You may request account-related deletion or support help via our Contact page / email above
- You may stop using the Service at any time
If you are in a region with specific privacy rights (for example GDPR/CCPA where applicable), contact us and we will respond to valid requests regarding account personal data we hold.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to our Service, including HTTPS for website/API traffic, hashed passwords, encrypted auth payloads in transit between Extension and API where implemented, and access controls for administrative tools. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for business / productivity users and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International processing
Our servers may be located in jurisdictions different from yours (including cloud hosting regions). By using the Service, you understand that account and support data may be processed in those locations subject to this Policy.
11. Third-party services
- Google Maps / Google websites — operated by Google; subject to Google’s terms and privacy policy
- Business websites you choose to enrich — operated by those third parties
- Creem payment services — subject to Creem’s policies
- Chrome Web Store / Google — distribution and update channels operated by Google
12. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for using collected information in compliance with applicable laws (including marketing, anti-spam, and data-protection laws) and the terms of Google and third-party websites. Exported data may include personal information; use it lawfully and only for legitimate purposes.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
